The beautiful and iconic megastar Angelina Jolie shocked the world in an op-ed article she wrote for the New York Times.

In May of this year Jolie wrote that she had  undergone double mastectomy surgery in order to better her chances of preventing a family history of breast and ovarian cancer.

She revealed that her mother had fought breast cancer for more than a decade, but eventually died at the young age of 56.

Once Jolie revealed her process, opinions flourished. For many, Angelina’s decision was a bold and brave one. For others it seemed like an unnecessary choice and for a small group they consider it tempting fate.

What choice would you make?
